Vicenza, the town was the home of famous men of culture and artists and is rich in architecture: the
Palazzo della Regione (Basilica), the Olympic Theatre, the Rotonda and the many beautiful villas nearby, all by Palladio.

While maintaining its agricultural origins, it has developed many prosperous industries and in
particular has become a centre for goldmithery: the Vicenza trade-fair holds three international exibitions a year (January, June and September).
